We sacrifice, we serve, we love others, we strive to live holy, and we still experience grief and suffering. We can sometimes ask: Why God? How can your promises be encouraging in the midst of our daily lives? Because God is gentle and merciful toward us, we can rejoice that His promises are a blessing, not a burden.
God’s character matters for how we understand and interact with Him, and how we view His promises and actions.
