What Does It Mean to Be Called

You are “called” to be a disciple of Jesus: no more, no less. And that is a worthy life.

The language of “calling” has been used to mean many things to the Church, often incorrectly or resulting in harm. To be “called” is not synonymous with our gifts, desires, or individual career. “Calling” is not to be a burden or fear of missing out on God’s will for your life.
