What would it really mean to accept Jesus?

We’re all on a diet. What are we consuming and how is it influencing the way we live?

Over 2000 years ago, Jesus prayed for you. He called you and prayed that you’d remain unified with other Christ-followers.

When we start seeing everything through the lens of our true home, we can bring the elements from that home to our temporary home.

Followers of Jesus MUST view politics through the lens of God’s Kingdom instead of viewing God’s Kingdom through the lens of our politics.

Good works don’t save us, but we are saved to do good works.

The entire Old Testament is God calling humanity back to Himself, helping us remember who He is and who we are supposed to be, and giving us the ability to choose life instead of death - to choose wholeness, instead of brokenness. It all leads to the moment we find in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Acts - the climax of the story, the coming of our Rescuer - Jesus.

God calls to point people back to Himself - and for much of our time - it might feel like we’re listening in on a phone call that has nothing to do with us. But in the end, it will come together. 

We all love a good story. Stories have a way of capturing our hearts and minds. They mirror our most powerful emotions, greatest dreams, and most deeply-seated insecurities.

To "level up" we need to run away from greed by running toward generosity and contentment.

To "level up" you need to grow in your faith and understanding to move beyond the basic teachings to a deeper, mature level of knowledge.

To "level up" means taking the next steps to explore using your gifts for God's kingdom.

To "level up", we need to be part of a healthy, Christ-centered community. It’s easy to live isolated or in a pseudo-community and stay stuck, but doing life alone limits our ability to "level up".

Since 2021, we've been on an adventure together. Today, we look back and celebrate where we've been, how far we've come, and where we are now. And we want to re-invite you on that adventure.

What is the church supposed to be? Does the church even matter anymore?

Humility is far removed from 21st-century practice - business, school, sports, etc., and is often considered a weakness rather than a strength.

Your definition of success determines your conduct and satisfaction with life.

We can live with and without power and have godly conduct at the same time.

Change must happen. Christians can't turn a blind eye. They must participate in God's mission to redeem this world.

God sees perfection when He looks at the believer AND a believer’s conduct should increasingly reflect that identity as we grow.

When we choose to see things from God’s perspective, we can persevere through the most difficult trial or temptation, which develops maturity.

Jesus’ teaching changes how we perceive all things in life, especially hard questions and concepts.

Healthy relationships are about others. It's not about you. In fact, you'll gain more joy and satisfaction in your relationships when both of you are thinking about the other first.

Life can get busy. It can get exhausting. But, when we neglect self-care, it begins to affect other aspects of our lives.

The key to keeping your marriage strong can be found in the Bible and it can apply to all relationships, in a way, not just your marriage.

Godly parenting is key to navigating healthy relationships with our children. It's needed more than ever and it begins with you.

How often have you heard "God will not give you more than you can handle"? In truth, you will be given more than you can handle

Those people can be the worst. You know who “those people” are, right? We all have them, and they are difficult to like, much less love. It’s helpful to know that Jesus had “those people,” too, and His love for them creates the model for our behavior. It’s easy to like and love Jesus. At least until “those people” show up.

Genuine followers of Jesus learn to pursue joy, instead of the feeling of happiness, which is often selfish and driven by circumstances.

How often have we heard people say things – with a level of certainty – about what they think Jesus’ said, which He never said?

Today were going to focus on a part of the Easter story we don't often talk about found in the gospel of Luke - a story about average people encountering the resurrected Jesus. A story about what God is up to in our world. A story that shows us how to live as followers of Jesus. Are you part of the story?

We all have a desire for justice, so why did Jesus have to pay such a high price?

Jesus’ life wasn’t just a turning point in history. It’s been the turning point in many lives as well. And it's not just His life, but as we’ll see in this series, it's His death and resurrection. And it's all good news! In fact, it’s the best news possible!

An “us vs. them” mentality seems to permeate our society right now. Small and great disagreements alike create harsh division, and we view other people as our enemies in a war we must fight.

As we seek to imitate God and live righteously, it is not always easy to navigate the grey areas.

Our path toward maturity in our faith is paved with Church unity and mutual discipleship.

“Calling” is not to be a burden or fear of missing out on God’s will for your life, but what does it mean?

Because God is love, we can trust His promises are made as an expression of His love for us.

Because God is in control, we can trust He has the power to fulfill His promises.

Because God is unchanging, we can trust His promises of salvation, hope, access to God, comfort, and redemption.

Members of our congregation shared personal stories to remind us of God's faithfulness as we begin a new year.

Jesus’ arrival means that peace can be achieved between God and humankind. Peace comes through Jesus. We are both recipients & providers of peace.

Zechariah’s story is a reminder that God hears our prayers and is at work in ways that are beyond what we can often imagine, even if it exceeds our life on earth.

Mary responded in faith to the angelic messages given to her. She responded thoughtfully, gradually, in amazement and wonder, and willing to surrender.

When you embrace Jesus as Comforter, it changes everything.

God is faithful. Today, let's stop and take time to celebrate God's faithfulness through The Reach Initiative and beyond.

God is at work at Grace Fishers just like in the early days of the church! We are in this together. Every part matters.

We never know how God will use what we bring.

How do I make decisions?

Reaching our world as a church will require us to grow in our generosity.

We are the answer to Jesus' prayer to reach the world.

God uses ordinary, broken people to reach ordinary, broken people.

Imagine what would happen to this community if each one of us invested in the life of one person?

Even as this life experiences difficulties, suffering, and trials, we can confidently live knowing God is for us, evidenced by our salvation even if nothing else is apparent.

No Christian lives their faith in solitude.

We live as a voice of peace in this world, as we recognize more than anyone the source of hostility (sin) and have the solution

Jesus can life be breathed into us, and we experience a spiritual resurrection. Only then may we truly live a life of freedom, joy, and love.

God chooses and pursues individuals for His offer of salvation, which is fulfilled through Jesus Christ.
